Noticed an item in your Mediaportal that shouldn’t be there? Read this post for tips on how to remove it.

At Isentia we try really hard to only deliver the most relevant content to your Mediaportal folders. Our keyword specialists, press readers and Account Management teams sweat the small stuff to make sure we send you media items that match the keywords on your briefs.

If you think we might have made a mistake and delivered you a media item that doesn’t match your relevance requirements, Mediaportal makes it super easy for you to tell us.

Every item you see in Mediaportal displays a Feedback button – I’ve highlighted it in the example below. Simply click the Feedback button to notify your Isentia team that something doesn’t seem quite right. This is a little bit different than in the previous version of Mediaportal, where you would click the item ID to return an item.

Once you’ve clicked the Feedback button, you’ll see this pop-up. You can leave a note in the text box to let us know why you’d like this item removed or updated.

Your Account Management Team will then be able to remove that item from your Mediaportal, and if applicable, tighten up your search criteria and credit your account.

For irrelevant social items we’ve made it even easier; click on the Delete button toward the bottom of the item card (circled below) to remove this from your brief or folder. This makes it super easy to remove any selfies or retweets you don’t want to see.

Clicking Delete will remove the item from your Mediaportal – after you click the icon you’ll have a couple of seconds to cancel the delete.

You can control how many seconds in Coverage Options, which you can find on the Coverage page. Click on the Coverage tools menu, and you’ll find the Deleting items section in the Media display area.

To remove multiple social items, you can also select the items using the checkbox to the left hand side of each item. When you’ve finished selecting all of the social items  just click Delete on the bright blue action bar at the top of your screen.

When deleting social media items in bulk this way, you will be given the option to remove the item only from the brief or folder you are currently in, or all instances of the item from your account.
