When a stakeholder, journalist, or customer asks an AI model about your organisation or industry, a powerful first impression is formed—often before they ever visit your website or read your press coverage.
Lumina AI View is a specialized reputation intelligence tool that reveals exactly how the world’s leading generative AI models represent your organization. It tracks what these systems are saying, identifies the specific sources influencing their answers, and measures how your AI reputation changes over time.
This guide will walk you through the core features of the platform and how to use them to take control of your AI narrative.
How AI View Works
Instead of relying on a single platform, AI View automatically runs a curated set of questions across major AI models: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok and Google AI Overview.
Every time the analysis run, the models use live web search to answer questions about your brand/focus subject and your sector. AI View captures these raw answers, extracts the exact URLs the models cited, and structures the data into interactive dashboards.
Understanding Your AI View Score
At the heart of the platform is the AI View Score, a 0–100 executive metric designed to help you track meaningful shifts in your AI reputation over time.
Your total score is calculated using five weighted factors:
- Visibility / Reach: In Sector Discovery, this measures Visibility (how often you appear in AI answers compared to competitors). In AI Profiles, this measures Reach (your citation volume, domain diversity, and question coverage).
- Sentiment: The tone of the AI’s portrayal, normalized on a scale from Very Negative to Very Positive.
- Authority: The credibility of the sources the AI cites (e.g., Tier-1 news vs. user forums).
- Dominance: The sheer volume and intensity of citations pointing to your brand per question.
- Freshness: The recency and age of the cited sources.
Navigating the Dashboards
AI View breaks your intelligence down into two primary lenses: AI Profiles (direct queries about you) and Sector Discovery (broader industry queries).
1. AI Profiles: Your Direct Reputation
This dashboard is your introspective deep-dive. It surfaces the specific narrative AI models have formed when asked directly about your organization’s direction, track record, and trustworthiness.
- The AI Narrative: A synthesized 1–2 sentence summary of your positioning across the models, complete with an Endorsement Badge (Strong, Moderate, Weak, Hedged, or None) to gauge model confidence.
- Reputation Pillar Themes Grid: A quick-scan breaking down the top themes AI associates with your brand across four pillars: Direction, Performance, Integrity, and Innovation.
- Source Analysis: Uncover the “Source Intelligence” shaping your narrative. Visualize your media mix by Content Type, Sentiment, or Source Type (Owned vs. Earned media).
2. Sector Discovery: Your Competitive Context
This dashboard shows where you sit when AI models answer broader industry-level questions. It reveals who the sector leaders are, who is most trusted, and who is most innovative.
- Competitor Snapshot: A ranked leaderboard of the organizations AI models mention most often in your industry. Your brand is permanently highlighted in a “You” row.
- Topic Word Cloud: A visual map of the dominant products, services, or themes associated with your sector, color-coded by sentiment.
- Auto-Baselines: Whenever you view a single run, delta indicators (the green and red arrows) automatically compare your current metrics against your most recent previous run, making it easy to spot sudden drops or spikes in competitor visibility.
Taking Action: Drill-Downs and Exports
AI View isn’t just about reading charts; it’s designed to help communications teams take action.
- The Evidence Drill-Down Table: Almost every chart and graph in AI View is interactive. If you see a sudden drop in sentiment or a spike in a competitor’s visibility, click on that chart segment. This opens the Evidence Drill-Down table, revealing the exact source URLs, domains, and publication dates the AI used to form its answer.
- Exporting Data: You can export drill-down tables to XLSX, download charts as PNGs, or export full run histories to CSV for your own internal reporting.
