This article provides a quick guide to system notifications designed to keep you informed inside the Isentia platform and notify you of an update to your account.

New system notifications

When a new system notification appears, select the bell icon in the top right corner of the Isentia platform to view the latest update to your account.

You’ll receive a new system notification when a topic is shared with you directly, when a new topic is shared across your account, or when a recipient of a notification you’ve created unsubscribes.

Actioning system notifications

Once you receive a new system notification, select the notification to view the topic that has been shared with you, subscribe to the topic that has been shared across your account, or open the settings for a notification a recipient unsubscribed from.

Selecting a notification for a topic that has been shared with you directly will open that topic. If you decide that the topic is irrelevant or don’t need access to it, you can follow the steps to leave or remove it.

Selecting a system notification for a topic shared directly by another user will open the Browse Topics page, where you can subscribe to any discoverable topics across your account.

Any topics shared across your organisation since you last viewed the page will be marked as ‘new’. You can subscribe to any discoverable topics that aren’t already in your account by selecting Add.

Sending notifications to other users

If you share a topic with another user or make a topic you’re creating discoverable, other users will receive a notification when you complete your action and click Save in the topic settings.

If you are sharing a topic across your organisation, the notification will be sent to all other users except yourself, and if you are sharing a topic directly with another user, only they will be notified that the topic has been shared with them.
