Exporting your coverage is a great way to create manual archives or analyse Isentia data in your own reporting tools and take your data outside of the Isentia platform.
How to: Export to CSV
- Select the media items you want to include in your export using the checkbox on the item card shown on any media coverage in your feed, topics, or find results.
- Select Export to CSV in the action bar at the top of your screen
- Choose to include broadcast syndicates (where possible) or not
- Click Export, and it will be emailed to you as a downloadable CSV file.
Including broadcast syndications in your export
When exporting your CSV file you can choose to include broadcast syndicates in your export. If you choose to include broadcast syndicates, the data you see for the radio and TV items included in your export will be slightly different.
- Including broadcast syndicates – Your export will include a list of all the broadcast channels on which a syndicated media item appeared, with attributed metadata for each channel detailed individually in the “Broadcast: All people” and “ASR” columns.
- Excluding broadcast syndicates – You will only see the “parent” media item listed, and the metadata in the ‘Broadcast: All people’ and ‘ASR’ columns in your export will show the cumulative figure for audience and advertising space rate (ASR) data across all the syndicated channels the media item appeared on.
Extra information about this Isentia platform feature
Below we’ve listed some additional information to ensure you are an expert on using the Export to CSV tool in the Isentia platform.
- You can export up to 10,000 media items in a single export (not counting any broadcast syndications). If you try to export more media items, you’ll see the export function disabled and a notification confirming the maximum number of items you can export.
- The links to your CSV files included in the email containing your export will expire after 30 days. After that time, you will need to export the media items again.
- The larger the export file size and the number of media items being exported, the longer the time it will take us to process your export, so please be patient if you are exporting a large number of media items.
- If your CSV export fails, you’ll see either a notification in the platform or an email from us, depending on which stage the export didn’t work. We’ll notify you that the export has failed and that you should re-export your items.
