Learn how powerful filtering and sorting options give you control over how your media items are displayed within the Isentia platform. Whether you’re viewing your media items in your feed, from your topics, or as part of the results of a search using the find tool, there are several filtering and sorting options available to you to help you digest your coverage in a way that suits you.
Filter by media type
By applying the media type filter, you can choose to display only media items in your feed, topic, or search results that belong to the individual or multiple media types you’ve selected.
To apply a media type filter, select the media types you want from the list shown and select Apply to display matching media items.
Filter by date
Using the date filter will display media content published in a specific date range. You can choose from preset date ranges, including the last 3, 7, or 30 days, or select a custom date range up to 12 months previously.
Select the date range you want to view items from, and your feed, topic, or search results will refresh to display matching media items.
Custom date range
When using the date filter, you can add a custom date range to specify a date and time period to view relevant media items.
To apply a custom date range, input the start and end dates you want to use and select Apply. When using the custom date filter, you can also add a specific time period by selecting the Date and Time option and adding a start and end time to your range.
Additional Filters
When viewing items in the Isentia platform, you can use several additional filters to control which media items are displayed.
You can choose to display content from specified media outlets, contacts, media items from a specific location, or those scored with a particular sentiment score.
To apply additional filters, select the additional filters option, add your filters and select apply to display matching media items.
Note: You can apply multiple additional filters, as well as the media type and date filters, to view specific matching media items.
Sorting your media items
You can use a number of sorting options to organise how your media items are displayed in your feed, topic, or search results.
You can choose to sort your items by date and have either your newest or oldest items appearing first or have your content arranged alphabetically by media type, media outlet, or location.
Note: You can reset and clear any filters or sorting options that you have applied to the media items in your feed, topics, or search results by selecting the Reset button at any time.
Media item view
In the Isentia platform, you can filter and sort your media items. You can also control how these media items are displayed, with the option to display them in either the magazine or table view.
Magazine View
Magazine view is the default view of media items within the Isentia platform, provides a more visual view of your media items, and displays additional information for each piece of media coverage, including attributed keywords, short summary text, and related images.
Table View
Table view displays more media items on the page, with only the key information for each media item displayed including the publication, journalist, headline, media type and the time and date the item was published.
Switching media item view
Easily switch between different media item views using the option shown in your topic, feed or in your search results.
Note: Your most recent view choice will be remembered the next time you sign into the Isentia platform.
