Quick actions are available on media items displayed in your topics, feed, and find results, making it easier to engage with your media coverage.

Hover over a media item to see quick actions to:

    • Mark as read – Instantly change the media item to the read state.
    • View original – Open a direct link to view the original media item
    • Copy link – Copy the link to the original media item for easy sharing.

Mark as read

Marking an item as read allows you to change its state without having to open the full item view.

If you have already “read” a media item, including having already opened the full item view or navigated to the item using the left/right arrows shown in the full item view, then this quick action will show as the Item is read.

Note: Once a media item has been marked as read it cannot be marked as unread.

View original

For each media item type, selecting the View original or Copy link, quick actions will open or copy a link to the original media item.

The original media item will depend on the media type:

  • Broadcast items: The media player page (if available)
  • Print items: Original printed PDF
  • Online: Isentia hosted online content
  • Social: Original social post.

Copy link

The copy link quick action allows you to easily share a direct link to original media coverage with other stakeholders.

Once a link has been copied, it can be shared with recipients as needed, including via email, direct messaging, or even be included in the reports that you build and share using the manual report builder.

When using the find tool to locate relevant media items, if there are any content or copyright restrictions on any of the media items that appear in your search results, then the quick actions will not be displayed.
