This article contains information about report templates that can be applied when building manual reports in the Isentia platform.

What are templates?

Report templates help you streamline your report-building process by allowing you to save report builder settings and create custom templates that can be applied to each manual report you build in the Isentia platform.

Creating new report templates

If you haven’t currently applied a template in the report builder (shown by the display of “No template” in the template field), easily create a new report template by saving your current settings using the Save as new option and entering the name of your new template.

Creating a new template will save the following report builder settings and options:

  • Appearance settings: Format, Logo/Banner images, Section links, Link and Section divider colours, and Report date and time settings.
  • Display options: All media items, Print, Broadcast, Online and Social media specific settings
  • Group and Sort by options applied to sections and media items in the report.

Once a template has been saved and applied, you can apply it to any new or existing reports you own.

Applying a template to a new report

When you create a new report, you can choose one of your existing templates to apply the saved settings and display options to your new report.

There are two ways to apply a new template; creating a new report from your Feed or Topic or creating a new report on the Reports page.

Actioning media items in your feed or topic.

When you’re actioning media items from your Feed or Topic and select the Add to report > Add to new option to create a new report, you can apply an existing template from the list of templates under the Report template option.

Note: Selecting the No template option will load the report builder with default settings applied.

Once a template has been applied to the report builder, if you make any changes to the settings shown, you can update the existing template with the most recent settings using the Save Changes option.
